ByteSIM Discount Codes
eSIM data plans for international travel, with real local phone numbers in select countries
Top ByteSIM Discount Codes
~5% OFF (ADVERTISED AS 10%)
Advertised elsewhere as 10% off travel eSIM plans. Tested at checkout on a $2.90 order and it only knocked off $0.15, about 5%, roughly matching what ByteSIM's own site-wide Summer Sale already applies automatically without any code.
Heads up: some codes on this page are affiliate codes and links, including our own (ADAMANDLINDS where it applies). If you use one, we may earn a commission. We put our own code higher up on the page because it's ours, not because it's automatically the best deal. Every code here is confirmed still active by us, but check the list before you copy: a public code below ours might save you more. See our about page for the full breakdown.
Best ByteSIM Promo Code • October 2026
TPDBYTE is advertised elsewhere as 10% off, but we tested it ourselves and it only knocked about 5% off a real order, roughly the same as the site-wide Summer Sale ByteSIM already applies automatically with no code needed. We're saying that plainly because we don't like misleading claims either.
What Actually Makes ByteSIM Different
Most eSIM apps on this site sell data and nothing else. ByteSIM sells real local phone numbers in select countries, including the US, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Australia, Vietnam, South Korea, and Thailand, bundled with plans that add calls, texts, hotspot sharing, and a local IP address on top of data. That's a genuinely different product from a data-only eSIM, and it's the reason we bought one ourselves.
ByteSIM's own site is upfront that most of its travel eSIM plans don't require ID verification, but local-number plans do, per local telecom regulation. That distinction matters because it's not a blanket "hand over your passport for any eSIM" policy the way it might read at first; it's specific to actually getting a real number.
What Buying a Spain Number Actually Involved
We bought ByteSIM's Spain "Mega Plan with Unlimited Calls & EU Roaming" (SKU spain-eSIM-LBES60GB-27): 100GB of Spain data, 15GB of EU roaming data, unlimited calls within Spain, and 500 minutes of EU roaming calls, for 27 days. Listed at $13.90, it came to $13.20 after ByteSIM's automatic Summer Sale discount, no code needed. The reason we picked this specific plan over a plain data-only one: it comes with a real +34 Spanish phone number.
Our order confirmation. Listed at $13.90, the automatic Summer Sale took it to $13.20 with no code entered.
Getting that number meant identity verification: uploading a passport photo and a selfie, standard practice for getting an actual phone number in many countries, not a ByteSIM quirk. After verification, the eSIM didn't activate right away, which had us worried for a minute. We used the "Get Help" button in WhatsApp and had a real person responding within minutes, who explained the plan won't start billing until you actually tap activate, and to wait 2 to 10 minutes after verification before doing so. It still wasn't showing as active after that. What actually resolved it: ByteSIM support checked back in on their own, unprompted, roughly two hours later to ask if it was working yet. It was. That kind of proactive follow-up, from a real person rather than a bot loop, is a better support experience than most eSIM apps we've dealt with.
ByteSIM support checking back in on its own, unprompted, about two hours after our first message.
Active codes
- TPDBYTE: about 5% off (advertised as 10%, actual tested savings were roughly half that)
ByteSIM also runs a site-wide Summer Sale that applies 5% off local and regional plans automatically at checkout, with no code required. On the order we tested, TPDBYTE's real discount landed in the same range as that automatic sale.
Speed Test on the Spain Plan
127 Mbps down, 14.1 up on Ookla, riding on Yoigo (part of Grupo MásMóvil) near Valencia.
- Ookla Speedtest: 127 Mbps down / 14.1 Mbps up, on the Yoigo network
- Fast.com, same phone and location, minutes later: 5.4 Mbps down
Yes, those two download numbers are wildly different from the same phone in the same spot. That's normal: different speed test tools hit different servers and measure differently, so treat any single test as a snapshot, not a guarantee, and expect real-world speed to vary by location, time of day, and network load regardless of which provider you're on.

Is ByteSIM the Right Pick for Your Trip
Good fit
- You need a real local phone number, not just data, in one of ByteSIM's supported countries
- You want a plan that bundles data, local calls, and roaming minutes together
- You'd rather have a human on WhatsApp if something goes wrong during activation
Consider alternatives
- You just want data with no phone number, no ID verification hassle at all: see AloSIM, which bundles a free Hushed virtual number instead
- You're chasing the advertised 10% off specifically; the real savings we found were closer to 5%
- Your destination isn't one of ByteSIM's local-number countries

ByteSIM Promo Code FAQ
What is the best code right now
TPDBYTE. It's advertised as 10% off, but we tested it on a real order and it only saved about 5%, similar to ByteSIM's automatic Summer Sale.
Does ByteSIM give you a real phone number
Yes, in select countries including the US, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Australia, Vietnam, South Korea, and Thailand. Plans with a number bundle in calls, texts, hotspot sharing, and a local IP address alongside data.
Do I need to verify my identity to use ByteSIM
Only for local-number plans, per local telecom regulation; most data-only ByteSIM eSIMs don't require it. A number plan means uploading a passport photo and a selfie.
What happens if activation doesn't work right away
In our own test, the eSIM didn't come online right after identity verification. ByteSIM's WhatsApp support connected us with a real person within minutes, who explained it can take 2 to 10 minutes after verification and that billing only starts once you actually tap activate. It still wasn't showing as active after that, and what actually fixed it was support checking back in on their own, unprompted, about two hours later.
When does a ByteSIM plan start billing
Only after you tap activate, per ByteSIM's own support. You can complete identity verification and let the eSIM sit installed without it counting against your plan until you actually turn it on.
